"Tzzt! Tzzt! Tzzt!"
Soon after, Han Sen saw a red light appear in the depths of the cave. It was coming towards them at high speed.
When Han Sen saw what it was, he gasped. It wasn't a red light; it was a red-headed cricket.
Good heavens, a cricket that was more than a meter long.
Its body was like black iron, and its wings had golden patterns.
Its six legs were like sickles.
The front four legs were relatively small, while the back two legs were particularly thick and powerful.
Its head and tail each had two black steel whip-like whiskers.
Only the top of its head was blood-red and glowing, as if it was cast from a ruby.
When the gold wings flapped, it made a strange squeaking noise that hurt people's eardrums.
The power of its hind legs was amazing, and when it jumped, it was as if it had teleported. When it reached Han Sen, it looked angry.
"Oh, no! It's a super creature! Run!" Han Sen picked up Bao'er and ran, ignoring Ling Mei 'er.
Han Sen didn't want to abandon Ling Mei 'er, but Snake King was nearby. Even if Ling Mei' er couldn't escape, Snake King would come and save her. If he and Bao 'er couldn't escape, they'd be dead. Snake King wouldn't save them.
Ling Mei 'er was running for the exit, but she was much slower than Han Sen. The cricket was going to catch up with her soon.
Han Sen heard the sound of something hitting a rock, and he knew what had happened. The cave could only fit one person at a time, and Snake King's body was too big to fit inside. If they wanted to enter, they'd have to break the cave open.
Ling Mei 'er would be dead by the time it broke through the rocks and reached them.
The red cricket was right behind Ling Mei 'er, and it opened its mouth wide to reveal its jagged teeth. Even steel would be torn to shreds if it bit into it.
He leaped over Ling Mei 'er's head and slapped her on the back. He used his strength to propel her forward, allowing her to evade the cricket's bite.
Han Sen saw the red cricket's teeth come together, and it made a sound like a punch table.
When Han Sen flew over the cricket's head, he slapped the back of the red cricket.
Han Sen gathered up the power of Super Spank. He slapped the back of the red-headed cricket, but it was as if he had slapped a steel bar. All he did was make the creature's sequence lock shake a little.
Han Sen landed ten meters behind the red cricket. The red cricket was not hurt, but it stopped and turned around to look at Han Sen.
"Come and chase me, you stupid bug."
Han Sen gave the red cricket the middle finger, turned around, and ran. His body was like a shadow as he ran deeper into the cave.
Tzzt!
The red cricket screeched angrily, and it went after Han Sen like it was teleporting.
Ling Mei 'er watched the cricket chase after Han Sen with a complicated expression. She looked touched, but there was something else she couldn't quite put her finger on.
Han Sen ran as fast as he could, but the cricket was too fast. In two jumps, it was right behind Han Sen.
Han Sen couldn't summon the Grenade Mushrooms and throw them at the red-headed cricket. But the Grenade Mushroom beast souls he had were all ordinary. When they exploded on the red-headed cricket, they didn't do anything to it.
"Bao 'er, give me your Grenade Mushroom beast souls," Han Sen shouted as he ran.
Bao 'er gave Han Sen all the beast souls he had. Han Sen was shocked. There were eleven Grenade Mushrooms, and ten of them were sacred-blood. One of them was a super beast soul.
Han Sen did not expect to get his first demi-god super beast soul like this. He was angry, too. He had only received ordinary beast souls, while Bao 'er had a sacred-blood beast soul and a super beast soul.
But now, Han Sen had no time to sigh. The cricket was coming for him, and it was about to touch Han Sen's back.
Han Sen threw a sacred-blood Grenade Mushroom into the red-headed cricket's mouth. With a boom, the red-headed cricket was blown away in a cloud of white smoke.
Han Sen was sent flying by the shockwave, and he came to a stop against a wall.
"One-use beast souls are much more powerful than ordinary beast souls. The power of this explosion is almost as powerful as a super creature's," Han Sen said, as he stood up from the ground.
But before he could be happy for long, he saw the red-headed cricket come out of the white gas and dust. The Grenade Mushroom exploded in its mouth, but it didn't seem to have hurt it. There wasn't even a trace of blood, and its speed didn't slow down either.
Han Sen had no choice but to keep running. The caves were getting more and more complicated, and with the help of the terrain, Han Sen was able to keep up with the cricket. If he hadn't, he wouldn't have been able to beat the cricket in terms of speed.
Even so, the cricket was still able to keep up with him. It almost bit Han Sen a few times. Every time Han Sen was in danger, he would throw out a sacred-blood Grenade Mushroom. Even if the Grenade Mushroom hit the cricket, it was enough to blow it away.
But there was a limit to the number of Grenade Mushrooms he had. After running for an hour, he had used up almost all of them. He only had one super Grenade Mushroom left.
The cave in front of them suddenly widened, and many passages ended here, entering a large underground cavern.
Han Sen ran into the cave and flew up. He approached the Holy Vine that was creeping up the walls of the cave.
The red-headed cricket came out of the tunnel, flapping its wings and flying towards Han Sen.
Han Sen flew to the top of the cavern, and the cricket followed him.
It looked like it was going to swallow Han Sen whole, but Han Sen was like a bird. He made a beautiful arc in the air, and he dodged the bite of the red-headed cricket.
Boom!
The red-headed cricket's body hit the stone dome, and the Holy Vines that covered the dome came alive like snakes. They wrapped around the red-headed cricket's body.
Han Sen retreated to the side. He didn't want to touch the Holy Vine, and he wasn't sure if he'd be able to avoid being attacked like Bao 'er. So, it was best not to touch them.
Han Sen turned to look at the red-headed cricket. It was squeaking, and it was struggling against the Holy Vine, but it was unable to break free.
"What a powerful Holy Vine! Not even super creatures can break free from its grip," Han Sen thought to himself in shock.
